Despite their extremely robust leather construction, Harkila has managed, with the appropriate design and combination of materials, to limit the weight of the Saxnas GTX to just 740 grams each. The Saxnas GTX has a mid-length shaft of 18 cm. and a slightly wider outsole. In the construction of the shoe, Harkila created extra space around the toes, providing in addition to comfort and more room for toe movement when wearing thick socks during very low temperatures. The Saxnas GTX has a waterproof and breathable recycled Gore-tex MS Advanced membrane. During their manufacture, all membranes of the boot are tested in a water bath to ensure their waterproofness and 5% of their production is subjected to 30-minute centrifuge tests as an additional guarantee that the membrane is of the highest possible quality. The upper is made of Nubuck leather, they have a medium-hard Vibram sole for excellent grip, as well as a midsole for shock absorption, comfortable walking over long distances or very rough terrain.
